Like the books that stick with a reader for a lifetime, you are a page turner. With each day in your presence, your students add words to their own stories. With each lesson you deepen the way they understand the world and offer new ways for them to write their own pages. You open doors into the past. You inspire the future. You are nothing short of amazing, and NCTE appreciates you.
Page turners don’t do this work alone. As the saying goes—it takes a village.
This year during Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the work that we, as a community of page turners, are able to accomplish together.
As a small token of that appreciation for the vital work that teachers do, each day during Teacher Appreciation week (May 6-10) we’ll be giving away an NCTE resource (primarily via email) to help support your professional development and learning. As an added bonus, at the end of each day, we’ll be giving away an additional prize to be mailed to one lucky winner from that day’s sign-up!
