Background

In the conviction that live performances are the most effective way to help students comprehend and appreciate dramatic literature, NCTE members passed the following resolution.

Resolution

Resolved, that the NCTE Executive Committee urge such agencies as the National Endowment for the Arts to foster the performance of dramatic literature by funding national and regional workshops and experimental theater companies.
