Today, the Alabama Association of School Boards dropped its opposition to pending legislation in Alabama that will extend teacher tenure from a 3 year waiting period to a 5 year waiting period. This latest edition of the bill continues to include student achievement scores counting as 25% of a teacher’s annual evaluation.
