Poetry Slam by the Center for Inclusion & Belonging - National Council of Teachers of English

Welcome to the NCTE event calendar! Here, you can find a list of events, including webinars, workshops, and in-person conferences. These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.

If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!

Poetry Slam by the Center for Inclusion & Belonging

February 14, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

We bring the Poetry Slam to campus to give students a platform to read poetry, whether original or not. It is the moment to promote poetry and performances that will engage students on campus and people from the community. Regarding Black History, we encourage participation from faculty and staff, students, and the community to showcase their original work, African/ African American poetry, and more. Join us in the celebration of creatively expressing oneself through poetry using the power of voice.
